NOC Sheep Center students earn top honors at National Livestock Expo
听Students from the 91成人 Sheep Center Production class achieved outstanding success at the prestigious North American International Livestock Expo (NAILE) in Louisville, Kentucky鈥攐ften regarded as the 鈥淪uper Bowl鈥 of sheep shows.
The NOC team exhibited eight Dorsets and four Hampshires from the NOC Sheep Center show flock in the Open Breeding Shows, earning multiple top awards. Highlights included two class winners, Reserve Junior Champion, and Reserve Overall Dorset Ewe with Spring Ewe Lamb NOC 25066.
In the Slick Sheared Dorset division, students captured two of the show鈥檚 most competitive honors: Champion Flock and the highly coveted Premier Exhibitor Award.
Students representing NOC at NAILE included Paige Burns, Morgan Dolezal, Lily Martin, and Rosa Mendiola, who were responsible for preparing, fitting, and exhibiting the animals on the national stage.
鈥淭hese students put in countless hours of work at the barn and in the ring,鈥 said NOC Sheep Center instructor Bart Cardwell. 鈥淭heir success at NAILE reflects their dedication, skill, and commitment to excellence.鈥
NAILE is one of the largest and most prestigious livestock exhibitions in North America, drawing competitors from across the United States.
