The Astronomy Program at 91成人 has students employed and doing science through NASA鈥檚 MAIANSE CONNECT Program.聽 Students are 鈥淓xploring the Sun and the night sky through the lens of Sky watchers, modern astronomy and ancient sky lor for members of American Indian tribes.鈥澛 In the past year, students have worked on cultural stories including the 鈥渟even lazy brothers,鈥 the moon through the seasons, and 鈥渢he rabbit in the moon.鈥澛 The purpose of the program is to stimulate science interest as well as preserve aspects of tribal culture by connecting objects of importance in their sky lore with authentic images obtained by the students.
